Subject:Gantt Chart Crashing in Microsoft Dynamics

A fine tool, first of all! We are about to purchase ActiveGanttVC, BUT.... It works good in our Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 environment, EXCEPT that it crashes every SECOND time when modal form containing this ActiveGanttVC ActiveX component is opened. It feels like, when modal form is closed, ActiveX still continues to live and when the same form is opened next time, it crashes all Dynamics AX environment. If you open that form just once, work with control and then close all Dynamics AX environment, everything is good when Dynamics AX client is restarted and form is not being opened twice in one session.

I might think that you might not be familiar with Microsoft Dynamics AX systems, but the problem's solution could be somewhere on the way to look for object, which this control stores in memory and the way how to destroy it and totally re-initialize this ActiveX every time when modal form is opened again. Could you describe some WINAPI methods to kill that object created by this ActiveX or does it probably leave some TEMP files somewhere in system (where?), which can be deleted every time I close the form, so that next time form is opened and ActiveX control would not find anything annoying that leads it not to start second time and totally crash all system.

Please, give advice, so that we could buy a working components license. Everything really works good except this strange behavior...

As I mentioned, we are using it in Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 environment, control is installed on Windows 2003. We tried latest ActiveGanttVC available on your site. Unfortunately, NET controls cannot be used in Dynamics AX environments.

Here we are unfortunately at a crossroads here, version 2.8.0 of ActiveGanttVC has not yet been released, and we cannot support ActiveGanttVC 2.7.3 which we know has some nasty bugs, specially in regards to the OLE interface. So the best possible answer we can give you at this moment is to wait until 2.8.0 is released. Sorry about this.
