Make sure that you download and install the version that is appropiate for your development environment. When multiple installation files are available for the same product they all share the same name (AGVBW.zip).
Visual Studio and the .Net framework can be backwards compatible in some cases, but they are certainly not forward compatible. For example, the
Visual Studio 2008 version examples cannot be opened on a computer that only has
Visual Studio 2002 installed. And it will also not recognize the .Net Framework 3.5 AGVBW.dll if the computer does not have the .Net Framework 3.5 installed.
Installation:- Extract (unzip) the AGVBW.msi program from the AGVBW.zip file.
- Double-click on the AGVBW.msi file to begin the installation program and follow on screen instructions.
- The installation will prompt you for a directory where you would like the files to be installed. On a default installation the directory will be "C:\Program Files\The Source Code Store LLC\ActiveGanttVBW".
- Click on the next buttons until the installation is complete.
On a default installation the AGVBW.dll will be installed in the following path:
"C:\Program Files\The Source Code Store LLC\ActiveGanttVBW\AGVBWCON\AGVBW\AGVBW.dll"
You can reuse the ActiveGanttVBW Scheduler Component in your own
WPF projects by adding a reference to the AGVBW.dll.
The ActiveGanttVBW trial version is not crippled in any way. The only difference is that it has a water mark on the screen. It does not have an expiration date. Feel free to try ActiveGanttVBW for as long as you wish.
On a default installation the
Visual Studio solution with the source code of all of the examples for ActiveGanttVBW will be installed in the following path:
"C:\Program Files\The Source Code Store LLC\ActiveGanttVBW\AGVBWCON\AGVBW_TR.sln"
Again feel free to reuse all or parts of the example source code in your own projects.
